Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway

When fear shows up, that usually means a breakthrough is coming.

I’ve learned that the hard way. Looking back at the seasons where I let fear consume me, I can see clearly now what it opened the door to: negative thoughts, self-doubt, and the quiet belief that it just couldn’t be done. I’m not good enough. I don’t have the right skill set. I don’t have the support. No one is going to believe I’m capable.

Sound familiar?

I remember sitting with those thoughts myself, before I ever stepped out to start Fervent Team. The fear of the unknown was loud. It told me I wasn’t ready, that I didn’t have it all figured out, that maybe I was reaching for something that wasn’t mine to have. But underneath that fear was a quieter voice, one that kept saying there is more. And I had to choose which voice I was going to obey.

That’s the tension most of us live in when we’re standing at the edge of a decision. Fear says wait. Faith says move.

Here’s the good news: if it’s God’s plan for you, it will not pass you by. He is a restorer of it all, what the fear tried to steal, what the delay tried to cost you, what the doubt tried to talk you out of. None of it is wasted. Trust in Him, even when the next step isn’t fully clear. Especially then.

So if fear is showing up loud in your life right now, take that as a sign. Something is shifting. Something is on the other side of this that you were made for.

Feel the fear. Do it anyway. I’m so excited for your breakthrough.

Ready. Set. Shift.

Warmly,
