It Started With a Calling

I never had a desire to become an entrepreneur.

I was content. Content working in Corporate America. Content building a career in legal business development and corporate support. For over 15 years, that was the plan, and I was at peace with it. But there was always this quiet voice inside saying, there is more.

I would come across people at work, and randomly outside of work, who would share their stories with me. Stories about wanting to shift into a new career path. Dreams of starting a business. Personal obstacles standing in their way. And I could see it. I could see the plan. I could see the path forward. I was able to offer practical approaches and champion them when they put that plan into action.

I started hearing it over and over: “You’re really good at this. You should consult. You should coach.”

After hearing it on a few different occasions, I began to pray about it. Your words are powerful. And prayer is powerful. I stopped saying, “I don’t have a desire for entrepreneurship,” and started saying, “ I want what God wants for me.” And Fervent Team was born. God revealed to me that He was already laying the foundation for my entrepreneurial journey, in my career, in my family, and in ministry. Every skill, every connection, every challenge had been preparation.

So I said yes. And the faith walk began.

Fear showed up. Doubt showed up. Even my own thinking tried to talk me out of it. But none of it could stop God’s plan. Fervent Team was built using the same framework I apply in my own life, business, and career. It’s rooted in Faith, in Community, and in Love.
